Koalafied™ runs as a full app on iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Apple Watch is a companion to the iPhone app. This page is the platform matrix. For first-run steps, see Getting started.

Minimum system versions

PlatformMinimum
iPhone / iPadiOS / iPadOS 18
MacmacOS 15
Apple WatchwatchOS 11 (companion to iPhone)

The app is coming soon to the App Store. Until then, use this site for product documentation and the Demo.

iPhone, iPad, and Mac

These platforms share the same feature set:

  • Home dashboard with path progress and recent sessions
  • Paths, sessions, people, and programmes
  • Privacy Mode, search, and Settings
  • Import, export, and ZIP backup or restore
  • Private iCloud sync for your practice records

Layout differs slightly by size. iPad and Mac use a wider Settings layout when there is room. Search sits in the navigation pill on iPad and Mac, and as a detached control on iPhone. Behaviour of paths, logging, and data is the same.

Mac does not push progress to Apple Watch. Watch updates come from the iPhone app.

Apple Watch (companion)

The Watch app is not a standalone client.

Watch canWatch cannot
Show path progress rings (or certified state) from the last iPhone snapshotLog sessions
Show a path progress complication for your first active pathManage people, paths, or settings
Show an empty state until the iPhone has synced pathsImport, export, or restore backups

The phone is the source of truth. Progress reaches the Watch over WatchConnectivity. If the Watch looks empty, open the iPhone app, confirm you have an active path, and keep the devices in range so the snapshot can update.

Quick add of sessions from the Watch is planned. See Roadmap.

Companion only

Do not expect wrist logging in the current app. Log on iPhone, iPad, or Mac, then use Watch to keep path progress in view.

iCloud sync across devices

  • Sync uses your private CloudKit database tied to your Apple ID.
  • Enable or disable iCloud sync in Settings. Changing that preference applies on relaunch.
  • Audio file sync is optional. Transcripts sync when present. Video never syncs.
  • Erase All Data, when used with sync on, is intended to clear the synced store as well as local data. Keep a ZIP backup first if you may need the records again.
